SMDI Integration for Mitel's ONE POINT MESSENGER

The challenge was to develop a field programmable integration layer, which offers a tight integration to a variety of PBX’s. The PBX’s and Class 5 Centrex type switches offer proprietary variations of SMDI interfaces.

Telesoft developed the SMDI Integration layer quickly, offering field programmable integration, with no code changes or recompilation. Minor changes to the call control templates adapts the product to any PBX. With this unique approach, Mitel was able to develop a common messaging platform, for many switching products.

We developed the service using component technology (COM/D-COM) for efficient communication between the Integration object and Messaging application, using VC++.
